LA CASA AZUL:
Frida's Blue House
Written and Directed by Carlos-Manuel
Death has come for Frida but before everything ends, La Pelona (death) allows Frida to reminisce about her life. La Pelona takes Frida on her journey, allowing us to see the artist beyond her marriage and through her paintings.
LA CASA AZUL: Frida's Blue House is an ethnodrama work based on Frida's letters, her diary, her official biography, and the author's personal research in Mexico City.
This new work mixes a "method journalism" theatre approach with realistic and surrealistic acting, presenting a story filled with Mexican culture, music and art.
The show is approximately 120 minutes, including a ten-minute intermission.
Recommended for ages 13 and up due to mild adult language, smoking, drinking, and mature themes.
